Hiking paradies Kaiser mountains

Active in the mountains

There are 200 km of diverse hiking paths around the Kaiser mountains: long-distance runners, walkers, and mountain climbers will find their new favorite route here. As a guest at Hotel Kramerhof, you can head out on beautiful hiking paths right from our hotel!

Teufelsgasse

According to one legend, the devil himself carved this fascinating, alley-like labyrinth in the wonderful nature in Hinterberg. After hiking uphill on forest roads, the path leads uphill and downhill in the shady forest along the plateau of the Leeberg through some narrow rock passages in parts.

Some skill is required at the devil's circle, and from the devil's throne and devil's pulpit, you have a magnificent view of the valley. Via sunny alpine meadows, the path then leads to the Prostalm, where you can recharge your batteries after this adventure. You can either start right from the hotel or drive up the mountain to Hinterberg and start your hike there.

Grießbachklamm

Only 9 km away in Erpfendorf is the Grießbachklamm gorge, one of the most popular excursion destinations in our region. Whether the shorter or longer Grießbach tour for families or the 10 km long "Almen" tour for more experienced hikers, you can enjoy pure nature here.

The paths leads along high rock faces on wooden walkways past the rushing stream over suspension bridges and past breathtaking waterfalls. There are also several great stations along such trails as the Barefoot Path, the "stone circle", or the Wooden Figure Path.

Wilder-Kaiser-Steig

The Wilder-Kaiser-Steig is one of the most picturesque high-altitude trails in Tyrol. The path leads above an elevation of 1,000 m along the striking rock faces of the Kaiser mountains. In 1990, the individual hiking paths were connected so that you can now hike along a total length of 35 km.

The entire network of paths offers fascinating views and accommodation options, and parts of the trail can be hiked as a leisurely day excursion. The path starts right at the hotel and is signposted throughout. Are you ready for an adventure on the mountain? The Maiklsteig in St. Johann and the via ferrata routes on the Stripsenjoch offer great climbing opportunities! In addition, the Jubiläumssteig and Klamml via ferrata with excellent route guidance directly on the Wilder Kaiser attract many visitors.
